Concept Based Intelligent Information Retrieval Within Digital Library

A digital library is a type of information retrieval (IR) system. The existing methodologies generally have problems on keyword-searching. We proposed model to solve the problem by using concept-based approach (ontology) and metadata case base. This consists identifying domain concepts in user’s query applying expansion them. system aims at contributing an improved relevance results retrieved from libraries proposing conceptual for intelligent retrieval. need import concept ontology, making use its advantage abundant semantics standard concept. Domain specific ontology can be used improve traditional level based keyword lay knowledge (or concept) change process matching matching. One techniques other would introducing similarity measure Case Based Reasoning (CBR) approach. Results show improvements over classic method, general purpose number approaches.
